Professor Suet-yi LEUNG, the co-director of COI, is known for her expertise in genomics of gastrointestinal cancer. She was the first to describe a new genetic mechanism for hereditary colon cancer and has developed a diagnostic test for Lynch Syndrome.

Professor Tak MAK, the co-director of COI, is a world-renowned expert in cancer immunology and has become widely known for his landmark discovery of the human T cell receptor in 1984. His accomplishments have been recognized by the scientific community through numerous prestigious awards and honours.
